Urban Renewal District

The North Plains Urban Renewal Plan includes goals, objectives and projects for the revitalization of the North Plains Urban Renewal Area, which is zoned for a broad mix of uses. The plan is designed to use the tools provided by urban renewal to promote private investment and facilitate the urban renewal area's redevelopment.

The plan is overseen by the North Plains Urban Renewal Agency (URA), which was established by the City Council in 2006 with the purpose of fostering jobs. The URA Plan and Report explain the goals of the agency, which technically is a separate legal entity from the City of North Plains. Visit the URA webpage for more details including links to the Urban Renewal Plan, a map of the urban renewal area, and urban renewal projects.
